Hydrogen & Health
Why should I drink hydrogen-rich water?
Hydrogen-rich water is regular water infused with molecular hydrogen (H2) gas, a powerful antioxidant shown in scientific research to support overall wellness.
Over 1,500 scientific publications (including 85+ human clinical trials) suggest potential benefits of molecular hydrogen across nearly every organ system.
A systematic review of 321 studies found that drinking hydrogen water delivers results at concentrations up to 100x lower than inhaled hydrogen gas, making it an efficient delivery method.

How much hydrogen water should I drink daily?
While there’s no universal dosing standard yet, most users benefit from 1–2 tablets per day. Some people choose to increase intake depending on their lifestyle, hydration needs, or wellness goals.
What if there’s residue or undissolved chunks in the water?
If you notice residue, don’t worry — it’s safe to drink. For best results:
Use room temperature water (not ice cold).
Avoid high-pH alkaline water (above 9.0), which reduces hydrogen production.
Moderate mineral content (under 200ppm) works best.
Is this product natural?
Yes — and no. Here’s why:
Molecular hydrogen (H2) is naturally produced inside the body every day and has been present since the earliest stages of life on Earth.
The magnesium in our tablets reacts with water to produce both hydrogen gas and magnesium ions, the exact form your body needs.
Other active ingredients (like malic acid from apples and tartaric acid from grapes) are sourced from natural origins.
Some manufacturing ingredients are derived synthetically for purity and consistency, but the final molecules are identical to their natural counterparts.
Bottom line: Our hydrogen tablets are safe, effective, and designed to meet the highest quality standards.
Are there side effects from drinking hydrogen water?
Published studies show no side effects directly linked to molecular hydrogen. It has a very high safety profile, even at doses thousands of times higher than what’s found in our tablets.
Our tablets also provide magnesium, an essential mineral. Consuming excessive amounts (more than 6 tablets daily) may cause digestive discomfort.
People with diabetes should monitor glucose closely, as H2 may have a mild hypoglycemic effect.
Does the product contain sugar? Should I be concerned?
Our hydrogen tablets contain a tiny amount of dextrose as a binding agent. The amount is negligible — less than a fraction of a calorie — and does not act as a sweetener.
Is hydrogen-rich water explosive or flammable?
No. The concentration of hydrogen produced in water is far below flammable levels. It is completely safe to drink.
Why choose OG Hydr8 hydrogen tablets over other methods (ionizers, sticks, etc.)?
Highest hydrogen concentration available.
Clinically validated formulas backed by research.
Convenient and portable — just drop a tablet in water.
Unlike many ionizers or hydrogen sticks, OG Hydr8 provides consistent dosing and purity standards.
Is hydrogen water the same as hydrogen peroxide?
No. Hydrogen water (H2) is a beneficial antioxidant. Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is a strong oxidizer used as a disinfectant and should not be ingested. They are completely different substances.
Why do some OG Hydr8 tablets contain sucralose?
Our flavored hydrogen tablets (like Blue Raspberry) use a small amount of sucralose to improve taste and maintain hydrogen concentration.
Natural sweeteners (stevia, monk fruit) interfere with hydrogen release and lower effectiveness.
Sucralose is one of the most studied sweeteners, with safety confirmed in extensive research and regulatory approvals worldwide.
Each tablet contains only 10mg of sucralose — far below any safety concern.
If you prefer, our unflavored hydrogen tablets contain no sweeteners or flavors.
Water & Usage
What is hydrogen-rich water? Isn’t all water already hydrogen?
Good question! Regular water (H2O) contains hydrogen atoms bound to oxygen. Hydrogen-rich water means water infused with dissolved molecular hydrogen gas (H2) — similar to how carbonated water contains dissolved CO2.
Can I add anything else to my water?
Yes — lemon or lime juice can enhance taste and may slightly improve hydrogen retention in open cups or sealed bottles.
What’s the best way to prepare hydrogen water on the go?
Drop a tablet into room-temperature water in a bottle.
Let it react until about 80% dissolved.
Seal and shake until finished reacting.
Wait at least 5 minutes before drinking to ensure full hydrogen absorption.
Why do you recommend preparing tablets in an open cup?
Our tablets are designed to maximize hydrogen release in open containers. Use a sealed bottle only when preparing to take your hydrogen water with you.
What type of water works best?
You can use tap, filtered, or bottled water. For best results:
Avoid high-pH alkaline water (above 9.0).
Stick to water close to neutral (around 7 pH).
Moderate mineral content supports the reaction.
